Course Description
This HSE-compliant Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day course helps attendees become first aiders in the workplace. The course we offer covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in today's workplace and gives you the confidence and knowledge to handle first aid emergencies. It really is a great way to be prepared for any unexpected situations.

Course Content
By the end of this 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work training course, delegates will be confident in:
- Understanding the role of the first aider, including the use of available equipment and the need to record incidents and actions
- Grasping the importance of basic hygiene in first aid
- Assessing the situation and circumstances to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency
- Administering first aid safely, promptly, and effectively to a casualty who is unconscious and/or suffering a seizure
- Administering basic life support (CPR) in line with the current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines
- Providing first aid to a casualty who is wounded, bleeding, or in shock
- Assisting a casualty who is choking
- Providing first aid for minor injuries

Eligibility
All delegates must be 16 years and over to complete a course.
