Emergency First Aid at Work

Course Description

This HSE-compliant Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day course helps attendees become first aiders in the workplace. The course we offer covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in today's workplace and gives you the confidence and knowledge to handle first aid emergencies. It really is a great way to be prepared for any unexpected situations.

• Course Content

  By the end of this 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work training course, delegates will be confident in:

  • Understanding the role of the first aider, including the use of available equipment and the need to record incidents and actions
  • Grasping the importance of basic hygiene in first aid
  • Assessing the situation and circumstances to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency
  • Administering first aid safely, promptly, and effectively to a casualty who is unconscious and/or suffering a seizure
  • Administering basic life support (CPR) in line with the current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines
  • Providing first aid to a casualty who is wounded, bleeding, or in shock
  • Assisting a casualty who is choking
  • Providing first aid for minor injuries
• Eligibility

  All delegates must be 16 years and over to complete a course.

  Electric Shock - Learn how to treat and manage injuries resulting from working with 240V and 3 phase electrics.

  Administration of Medication - For anyone in a childcare setting who might need to administer medication to a child or young person.

  Annual Dental Refresher - Keep up-to-date with our Annual Dental Refresher, a CPD update compliant with the General Dental Council. 

  Emergency Paediatric First Aid - If you are responsible for looking after children, Emergency Paediatric includes child CPR and choking. 

  Oxygen Therapy & Bag Valve Mask - Learn how to administer oxygen safely and effectively to casualties with breathing difficulties.
