Course Content
Our course instructor brings 30 years of Fire Service experience, first as an Operational Watch Officer and then as a Learning Development Advisor.
This 3-hour Fire Warden Training course covers four key modules:
- Hazards and Risks in the Workplace: Identify and assess potential fire hazards and risks specific to your workplace.
- How Fire is Controlled at Work: Learn effective methods to control and prevent fire incidents at work.
- Fire Safety Management at Work: Understand and implement key principles of fire safety management in the workplace.
- Fire Legislation and the Role of the Fire Warden: Gain knowledge of fire legislation and the essential responsibilities of a fire warden.
By the end of the course, delegates will be confident in:
- Fulfilling the role and responsibilities of a Fire Warden
- Understanding common types, causes, and behaviours of fire, and how fire and smoke spread
- Learning key principles and practices of fire prevention and safety management at work
- Identifying potential hazards and site-specific risks in the workplace
- Knowing the correct actions to take if a fire breaks out
- Understanding different classes of portable fire extinguisher
- Implementing emergency evacuation procedures, including those specific to your workplace and its occupants

All delegates must be 16 years and over to complete a course.
